Everyone must miss person in this life. This feeling happened when we were far away from our beloved person. Whether that was our wife, husband, parents, family, friends or sweetheart.
But for the believing men, the biggest longing must miss to meet Allah Ta’ala and The Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. Missing in Islam is a fitra. We are not sinned if we miss someone in our life. But, we have to act on the missing in the right ways.
For example, when woman missed a man who weren’t her mahram. That man is her best friend. So, What does woman do? Do they must display their missing with dating? Of course, not! Dating in Islam is haram because it is near adultery. Allah S.W.T explains the gain of courtship in Islam.
“Say to the believing men that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty: that will make for greater purity of them: And Allah is well acquainted with all that they do.” (Q.S An-Nur : 30) “And do not come near adultery. It is immoral and an evil way.” (Q.S Al-Isra : 32)
My beloved sister, you have to know that the best way to display missing is dua. Remember that we are a weak human. We can’t get something if we only rely on ourselves.
We need help from Allah S.W.T because we are created by Allah S.W.T. Allah is the greatest. He can turn human heart. And if He said “Be” and it is!
“And your Lord says: Call on Me: I will answer your (prayer): but those who are too arrogant to serve Me with surely find themselves in Hell –in humiliation!” (Q.S Al-Mukmin : 60)
“Call upon your Lord humbly and privately. He does not love the aggressors. And do not corrupt on earth after its reformation, and pray to Him with fear and hope. God’s mercy is close to the doers of good.” (Q.S Al-‘Araf : 55-56)
When your missing is unstoppable, we don’t hear whisper from Satan to follow our lust. If that missing came to your sweetheart, so you can enter dua in every prayer.
The last third of the night, time between Athan and Iqamah. The Almighty will grant those dua, Insha Allah. These are some dua for missing person in Islam. Here they are:
The Prophet Yusuf a.s is one of prophet which was famous with his pretty handsome. Based on the one of verse in Quran, every women who looked him will be fascinated with Yusuf’s appearance.
Even, one of story said that a group of women hurt their hand with knife because they are very fascinated with the pretty handsome of Prophet Yusuf a.s. However The Prophet Yusuf a.s sill kept his gaze. And finally, He was predestined to became partner in life for Siti Zulaikha.
In surah Yusuf in Quran, there is a verse that was believed as dua for releasing missed. Some people said that verse was dua to meet a mate easily and tighten relationship between husband and wife. This dua was often said by The Prophet Yusuf a.s when he missed her wife, Siti Zulaikha.
That verse is:
“ Idz qaala Yuusufu li abiihi ya abati inni wa aitu ahada ‘asyara kaukabauw wasy syamsa wal qamara ra aituhm lil sajidin.”
The meaning : “ Be hold! Joseph said to his father : “O my father! I did see eleven stars and the sun and the moon! I saw them bowing down to me!” (Q.S Yusuf : 4)
2. Surah Thahaa verse 39
Beside surah Yusuf, dua for missing someone in Islam is reading surah Thahaa verse 39. If someone was prayed with surah Yusuf and surah Thahaa faithfully in every prayer, your missing will be took with the right way. But there is no hadits that explained about surah Thahaa as Wirid when missing someone.
The meaning : “I endued you with love from Me, in order that you may be brought up under My Eyes.” (Q.S Thahaa : 39)
3. Surah Al-Fatihah
Dua that we often read it in every pray fardhu has big specialness. Al-Fatihah is not only an opening surah in Quran, but it can help us to extend our fortunes, cure diseases, go far away from senile and missing medicine to someone.
“In the name of Allah, The Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. [All] praise is [due] to Allah, Lord of the worlds. The Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. Sovereign of the Day of Recompense. It is You we worship and You we ask for help. Guide us to the straight path. The path of those upon whom You have to bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked [Your] anger or of those who are astray.”
4. Surah Al-Baqarah verse 165
Some people believed that Surah Al-Baqarah verse 165 can be missing medicine. But there is no hadits that explained about this verse can deliver missing to beloved person.
Mean : “They love them as they love Allah. But those who believe are stronger in love for Allah.”
5. Surah Ali Imran verse 14
Commonly, people mix surah Al-Baqarah verse 165 with surah Ali Imran verse 14 as Wirid. So, they are missed by someone who they missed. But one more time, there is no hadits or verse that strengthen this opinion.
“ Zuyyinalinnasi hubbushahawati minannisa’i walbani na walqanaathiril muqanthorotiminazzahabi walfidhah.”
“Beautified for people is the love of that which they desire of women and sons, heaped up sums of gold and silver.”
O Allah! Creator of the heavens and the earth! All- Knower of the Ghaib (unseen) and the seen. You will judge between your slaves about that wherein they used to differ
7. Dua Missing Parents
Missing is not only for sweetheart or partner in life. Sometimes, that feeling happened if we were far away from our parents. Besides calling or video call, we can pray to Allah S.W.T to establish our missing to parents.
“Allahummaghfirlii waliwaalidayya war hamhumaa kama rabbayaanii shagiraa.”
“Ya Allah, forgive me my sins and those are of my parents, and have mercy upon them as they had mercy upon me when I was small.”
Actually, this dua is not only read when we are far away from our parents. We should read this dua after pray as our shape of love to our mom and dad.
Thus some dua that were believed as missing medicine to someone. We have to read dua for our parents everyday. But for another dua are still not clear theorem about them. The most Ulama recommended that we have to pray commonly when there is something important.
For example, missing our partner, we pray with daily language (begins with praise and mention the most beautiful name of God). Then, we can relay our wish, “Ya Allah, please take care …. (wife or husband) well in there. Close him to me, protect him from Satan whisper and etc.”
For Akhwat and Ikhwan who missed sweetheart quietly, you have to be left your heart to Allah S.W.T. Because something that is looked good is not necessarily a good thing for us. It is different with Allah S.W.T choice, it must be good for our life.
Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala said in Surah Al-Baqarah that means:
“But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah Knows, while you know not.” (Q.S Al-Baqarah : 216)
We have to believed that a mate never switch. Let Allah S.W.T to take care your heart and your future mate. Whenever he is, we must accept to Allah S.W.T. Our role is only cleaning ourselves to become a good moslem.
Because Allah promises that a good person will be met with a good person, too. And a bad person will be met with a bad person, too.
